Topic: Looking for 2D animation programs

Posted under Art Talk

Hey ya'll, I'm looking for a 2D animation program that is a one time purchase. I use my PC to draw so anything that's tablet only isn't really available for me. I'm also looking something that's user friendly and doesn't take a bunch of time to understand basic stuff if that's possible. I would greatly appreciate the help! Thank you!

1. firealpaca (free, very simple interface and animation feature, honestly my go-to as a beginner)
2. clip studio paint (pro ($54.00) has 24 frames maximum while ex ($237.00) has unlimited)
3. krita (free, works similarily to csp)
4. opentoonz (free)
5. tahoma2D (free, it's opentoonz but heard it's simpler)
6. pencil3d (free, lightweight and fairly dated)
7. synfig (free, looks like it's catered to tween animation)
8. blender (free, has 2d animation but more catered to mixed media with 3d)

there are so many free animation software to sink teeth to compared to pay-to-use ones, just in case.
