I recently had a discussion about Andromorph and Genital Slits on Dragons... it comes with a question should andromorph be implicated now because of how gender ambiguous characters with genital slits are? You would not know their exact gender without seeing an erect dick or spread slit/vulva. You'd only really know by knowing the characters themselves before hand... Especially with being reminded about TWYS.

Lowkey, most people probably break TWYS when tagging ambiguous cases for pussy vs. genital_slit and, as a result, male vs. andromorph/female (though they may just tag ambiguous_gender) on scalies. That's not a policy obviously, but it is the reality.

genital_slit is for males only. Andromorphs have a pussy instead. genital slit and pussy are exclusive tags, you don't tag both for a given character.

As for distinguishing genital_slit/male from andromorph/pussy, it's handled pretty loosely. The actual position of the slit can provide a clue (a genital slit will tend to be higher up on the crotch area, while a pussy will tend to be lower down). Female ferals aren't expected to have breasts, so wouldn't be tagged andromorph due to lacking of breasts with what may be a pussy.

As far as tagging goes, the official stance when it comes to slits is for genital_slit to be tagged on male characters only, pussy to be tagged on female characters only (never tagged with genital_slit), and for ambiguous_slit to be tagged on ambiguous_gender characters or otherwise those with unknown genital types.

I argued for genital_slit to apply for all genders since that term is used for both genders (of cetaceans) in real life but the counterargument is that if that were to be the case, then there will be no visual difference between genital_slit and pussy.

It would most likely end up as ambiguous_slit now knowing that tag exists... though now with TWYS even knowing the canon genders for all three characters (2 male 1 female) doesn't really mean anything. huh.

On anthro bodies it's a fantasy feature, so artists are going to be drawing it under whichever convention they prefer.
In cases here... Your example does happen to look a lot like humanoid vulva, and the sex-tagging policy prefers assuming human standards wherever possible.

Smolder's hips and lack of pectoral definition might be grounds for a female tag, but I wouldn't tag war for it. If you think you'd want that tag reinstated you could report the image for an admin decision, but in general it's best to not care too much what any given image is tagged as, since official decisions notoriously have frequent mismatches with what many users would like tags to mean.

This was my commission so I know what I'm wanting and so it's very interesting to see how others examine it and how tagging is ending up. There is no clit for the boys.

Yeah tagging is getting a little difficult for me around Dragons especially anthro dragons and my particular view on how Genital Slits and Pussy are relatively similar or how I'd want them portrayed.... You'd have to examine the Dragons very closely to see their small differences and lack of or added genitals/sex details. Males for me would only have slightly longer slits and puffier lips to grab onto the dick as it finishes erecting.

Now I'm not particularly fighting for anything now just trying to understand view points and tagging.
I'm a victim of my own imagination as many are.

I do particularly like the "ambiguous_slit" nature of Dragons and as I said before I now know that tag exists too!
