Hi there :3 I've just created my first account here, and I'm attempting to tag the images I upload, but I don't really understand how to do it.
More specifically, I don't understand how to categorise Characters, Artist, etc. I tried to read the help guide, but I still don't get it D:
It was more so talking about searching tags instead... Can someone lease help me? :c I would appreciate it very much :3

Well, for one there is https://e621.net/wiki/show?title=e621%3Atagging_checklist which gives a pretty good list of things to tag, otherwise you can simply reuse existing artist tags by simply typing them in, new artist tags need to be prefixed with artist:Name_here once and the system will mark them as artist.

The available important prefixes are copyright:, char:, artist:, species: and to make them normal general: .

If you have question about a specific tag then simply click the question mark beside the tag for a link to the wiki, most tags have a good explanation there.

To categorize a tag you just add general:tag (or gen:tag), artist:name (art:name is valid too) and character:name (char:name also works).

As for tagging, make sure you follow the Tag Checklist. It has some basic information about how to tag a post. And the cheatsheet, which has some more information.
