This has been on my mind for some time now. If I have copyright protection on my original character(s), do I need to mention it somewhere when I'm uploading my artwork? If so, in which section do I need to mention it?
Also, what is the purpose of the up vote/down vote on this website? Is it suppose to inspire artists to upload more or encourage them to improve their skills?

If you are in the United States, copyright is granted upon publication (which includes posting your art/character ideas online), and a copyright notice is unneeded.

Thank you for your reply, Anicebee. However, I'm not from the States. Should I look up the copyright laws in my area? Also, do you know the purpose of the up vote/down vote system on this site?

You probably should. And no, I don't know the reasoning behind the voting system, you should wait for someone more qualified for that to respond.

Votes are just a way to measure popularity, like social media. However, if you don't want to see anything under a specific tag, please add it to your blacklist instead of downvoting.
