Topic: Tag Alias: queen_twilight -> twilight_sparkle_(mlp)

I agree, but I get the feeling that it'll get pinkamena'd

But how would we make a distinction between alicorn twilight and normal twilight? Or is there another tag to simply search for either twilight?

I think that besides everything else this tag was apparently meant to be for OC that looks like Twilight from some kind of another ask whothefuck tumblr.

Still, while tag for alicorn Twilight (princess_twilight on 20pc) would make my blacklist shorter, and more effective:
a) It shouldn't be named queen_twilight.
b) It's rather too specific for e621 IMO.

Because search or blacklisting "twilight_sparkle_(mlp) alicorn" is totally hard right?

It's not hard, it's not accurate. It blacklists other pictures without purple alicorn.

True.

*shrug* I supported eeveelution for the simplification idea, so I can't say too much :P

Just to be clear - I'm not supporting this tag. I just say why it would be useful to me.

And probably to more than you.

I would honestly rather implicate something like princess_twilight_(mlp) to twilight_sparkle_(mlp) so that some people have it easier to either search specifically for it or to shorten their blacklists, at least search terms are rather scarce so this should benefit people.

But yeah, queen_twilight_(mlp) would be wrong anyway and should go.

But it's still the same character. What next, separate tags for different genders of characters? Different tags for characters in different age?

I would understand if there would be complete species change. Like link and link_(wolf_form). But I don't think that jumping the shark and being mary sue is enough reason for separate tag.

Pinkamena.

I'm absolutely for nuking it from orbit since even its supporters can't come to conclusion what should be rules when this tag should be added. It's garbage tag.

And there are dozens of other tags like futashy or princess molestia that were nuked. Don't look at exception - look at the norm.

A princess_twilight tag is at least easy to make objective (does it have the purple winghorn pony?), unlike pinkamena.

20pc wiki states:

This refers to Twilight Sparkle as she appeared in Episode 13 of Season 3, "Magical Mystery Cure," when she became an alicorn and was coronated as a princess.

This does not refer to any depictions of Twilight as an alicorn, only instances where she is an alicorn and is clearly Princess Twilight, typically wearing the Element of Magic as a tiara and otherwise dressed the part.

Sounds like rather unclear definition to me.
Thankfully(?) nobody seem to care about this, and they seem to tag every alicorn Twilight with that.

Also it implies royalty there which creates bad tags here, when people copy-paste tags from 20pc.

It's easy to make objective. Although you are correct about the potential problems with royalty-related tags.

Okay people, who cares if a pony suddenly has wings and a crown they still have the same name. Geeze -.-

I still support Op's idea
