Topic: hidden comments

One of my comments was hidden; I didn't get a strike, or any notification.
I'd like to know why it was hidden, and the comment section locked.
I messaged the mod who took the action - no response.
Then I messaged an admin, following advice posted on the mod's profile. The admin's profile says to allow a few days for a response, so I have, and... no response.
I considered contacting the lead administrator, but at this point I can't even be sure my messages are getting through, though it's more likely they are and they're just being ignored.
I'm surprised because, while I haven't exchanged many messages with staff here, I've generally found them to be reasonable and responsive.
I'd appreciate if any e621 staff would be so kind as to shed some light on all of this.

If you didn't get a warning or a strike on your profile I wouldn't be so worried.

Wait for a week for an admin response, if there is none eh just forget about it.

The moderation team has had a paradigm shift in dealing with rule-breaking comments, starting about a year ago.

It has went from not hiding anything at all, to hiding all comments which interacted (or is about the same topic) with a rule-breaking comment. This policy is retroactive and there is/was a couple of staff doing mass hides

If you didn't get a warning there is nothing to be worried about.
