Reason: At the risk of overcomplicating things, maybe we can generalize this. A magic_X is an X that is a magic_item. A cursed_object is a "bad" magic_item. A magic_item inherently falls under the "magic" theme. Some things were omitted to be safe. For magical_sex_toy -> magical_item see topic #43448 (making THIS BUR conveniently at exactly the limit of 25 items! Yay!)

reasons some things were omitted from BUR
  • Magician items like a magic_wand might not contain "real" magic, and thus may not be "true" magic_items.
  • Not sure if magic_stone should imply stone, since it's likely to be a gemstone. Are gemstones still stones? I mean, I guess it's in the word, but I'm trying to be safe here...
  • A magic_mirror is likely something more akin to a portal than an actual mirror, so I'm not sure if it should really imply mirror.
  • magic_ball is pretty ambiguous (crystal ball? magic 8-ball?). I don't think implying ball is appropriate.
  • Is there even such a thing as a non-magic "lamp" (other than the light kind)?
  • A magic_carpet is very different than a carpet. I'm not sure if implying them makes a ton of sense, even if accurate.
  • magic_wings are a magical body part, not a magic item.

Are orbs inherently magical? If orb and magic_orb should be aliased together, I'll update the BUR accordingly.
