I don't think that extreme size difference should be automatically implied because there are some posts where the two macro characters have clear size difference, but not to an extreme degree

Before I read the wiki, I interpreted the tag to mean macros in actually different size classes. The wiki treats it as basically meaning macro size_difference, with the caviot that the size difference must be between two macro characters.

That's still somewhat useful (since most of size_difference macro will be between macro and normal size characters), but not great.

I suppose my initial interpretation wasn't that different; that would just be macro extreme_size_difference with the same caviot, so the wiki interpretation is just a bit more broad.

The majority of posts that fall under multilevel macro are going to have macro characters that are in different size classes (e.g. "normal macro" and "giga-macro") that would warrant extreme size difference, but there are a fair number of posts where they're in the same class (especially terra macro sized characters) or don't have an extreme amount of size difference.

I'm not sure what's "not great", it covers your interpretation, while narrower differences in size would fall under multilevel_macro -extreme_size_difference, no matter what, multilevel_macro helps in filtering out macro size_difference posts where there are normal sized characters with "slightly macro" characters, which is pretty common.

I agree that the tag is useful. It's just that it doesn't really line up with the name of the tag. The simplest interpretation of 'level' in this case is the categories of macro, which would be an extreme size difference.
