Topic: Options to move next/previous buttons for optimal fap.

Posted under Site Bug Reports & Feature Requests

Joke title but serious nonetheless.

I want the buttons much closer together and on the left, below the image. Be better to have options on where to place them. Some of us are disabled and it can be a chore getting to the next image.

Or better yet. Make clicking/touching the image the next button. Some sites split it down the middle for next/previous.

Anything would be better than how it is now.

mayhaps you try using e6 on a mobile device? i certainly have little trouble maneuvering around the site solely on my phone, but then again i've also encountered issues with stuff like notes and have to be a little more vigil that i don't fat-finger any precise presses... you'd probably have a better time with your phone than on a desktop, if all you do is search through posts.

there's also mobile mode, but it's completely alien to me for desktops and i hardly use it on mobile since it fries my muscle memory. desktop mode's simple enough on a mobile device, but try mobile first since it's likely better optimized.

This would be incompatible with the current behavior of clicking the image to show/hide notes.

I imagine there's some custom CSS you could use to change the positioning of the prev/next links. Or maybe it's something re621 can do.

While there's no option to put the buttons closer together, there is an option to put the navigation bar below the image or to enable navigating with swipes on mobile: https://e621.net/static/theme. On desktop, you can navigate with the A and D keys.

World's most important addition to a years old dead thread.

It's funny how much threads are revived in this booru, still I wonder why something like "lock all threads that are 1 year old or older" isn't implemented or something in the system lol.

probably because some threads deserve to be revived sometimes (IE old tag discussions if they become relevant again, etc)

To be fair, whenever someone has a question or request that was at any point in the past brought up, several replies will just be an unhelpful topic link, regardless of answer
