For some reason my fursona, Renim, has been associated with one of my partners as his character. I am just looking to update the tag to not be associated with him, as it's not his character.

The tags in question were added by one dude (10k edit count, so a no-lifer like me) who presumably decided to suffix the then-ambiguous renim tag while uploading post #3742442. The sources in question e.g. https://www.furaffinity.net/view/50085371/ mention that the artwork was commissioned by gigiafucker, but say nothing about character ownership.

So this alias has my seal of approval.

And this is why it takes so bloody long to disambiguate character tags properly. I always go looking for a corroborating source from the user credited with ownership, and most of the time things are exactly what they seem, but often enough you get cases like this one. Sometimes artists even explicitly claim the wrong person owns a character. The more I do this, the more ways I find for both sources and tags to be wrong in ways I never imagined.
