Same character, and eggman is already aliased.

Doctor Ivan "Eggman" Robotnik. Shouldn't the tag be doctor_robotnik? dr._robotnik should probably alias into it, too.

Princess Peach Toadstool? Peach is her more commonly used name now, regardless of country. Robotnik was originally named Eggman in the old games, but later given his proper name.

Nah, that is only North America. Similar to Peach, Eggman was always his name before.

People desperately claim otherwise though . . .

I did some research, apparently there's Doctor Eggman Robotnik (which almost all uses are going to be this guy) so I'm fine with aliasing all of these forms together. However, there is also two lesser known robotniks: Professor Gerald Robotnik and Maria Robotnik . Now in both cases, if they ever show up here, they would get their own tags. So it's not a problem, except for the fact that this makes "robotnik" as the tag for Doctor Eggman Robotnik way too ambiguous. So I have aliased all of these forms to go to --> dr._eggman instead since that's a lot more clear and less likely to ever be confused for the other two characters with the same last name.

So, fixed and done.

Yeah, I say Ivo_Robotnik or the more common "Eggman". Then there aren't any holdups for Maria (his cousin) and Gerald (his grandfather) Plus there's Eggman Nega, his descendant. Also, Ovi Kintober.

I know this post was from 6 years ago. But Eggman and Robotnik are not the same character. It's confirmed in season 2 of Sonic X and Sonic Adventure 2 that Robotnik is Eggman's grandfather.
