Reason: We've already had this debate, the correct copyright tag for art depicting one of Toby Fox's universes is undertale_(series). 100% tag overlap, save for the one post I just retagged which turned out to be referring to an entirely different person also named Toby Fox.

This is like that guy recently who asked if it's possible any furries might coincidentally decide to name their own character "Zorua" without ever having heard of the Pokémon.

I'd say a greater concern would be the theoretical time in the future when Toby Fox makes something not related to Undertale, but right now the tag is seeing a lot of use and it's a lot easier to alias it to the only possible correct tag than clean it up manually.

Neither one nor the other. I think Undertale should imply Tobyfox instead.

Tobyfox is the creator of both Undertale and Deltarune series.

I think there may be an "annoying dog" named tobyfox, which is technically his in-game oc, but this one can be just tagged tobyfox_(tobyfox) or tobyfox_(character).

So the result would be deltarune -implies-> undertale -implies> tobyfox

TobyFox is the creator of Undertale
and
Undertale_(series) is an Umbrella for Undertale and ALL THINGS Undertale, including Deltarune

if by chance TobyFox makes a game that is different from Undertale or another game that contributes to the Undertale series

then why would we get rid of the TobyFox tag? It makes no sense. You want to get rid of the tag for the creator of the game?

What about art actually made by tobyfox? What would this be tagged as?

toby_fox is already his artist tag.

And I agree that aliasing tobyfox away to undertale wouldn’t be a great idea in the long run, considering the very real possibility that he’ll end up making something unrelated to undertale in the future, meaning the two will no longer have 100% overlap. What we probably should do instead:
- move current toby_fox results to toby_fox_(artist)
- change toby_fox to copyright category
- imply toby_fox from undertale_(series), followed by anything else he makes in the future

Future-proofing.
