They originally did, though it looks like they've hidden the thread.

Just as a heads-up to @Cow_of_Fire, hiding an implication/alias suggestion thread DOES NOT remove the suggestion from the approval queue and will serve to only troll those who need to fix it.
Go into the suggestion ticket itself (i.e., implication #47718) and use the Reject command to delete it.

FWIW, I replied to that thread questioning if non-mammal_anus should be kept. I don't remember exactly what I said, but it was along the lines of the non-mammal_x tags being because non-mammals don't have x, and I wasn't sure if the same would apply to anuses. There are non-mammals that don't have anuses (avians and reptiles have a cloaca instead), but I don't know if that's true for all non-mammalians. If not, it might be better to alias, IMO.

I'm not even sure cloacas don't count as anuses. Bilaterian animals are divided into protostomes and deuterostomes based on whether their blastopore becomes the mouth or anus, meaning that mammalian and non-mammalian vertebrate anuses have a common developmental origin and that the cloaca is a form of anus. The cloaca also fits Wikipedia's definition of an anus as "an opening at the opposite end of an animal's digestive tract from the mouth", and the article seems to treat cloacas and dedicated excretory orifices as different varieties of anuses.

Updated

i get tags like 'non-mammal breasts', since birds and lizards and such don't have mammaries, hence them not being mammals. anus, though? it's an asshole. my thought is that everyone has one & everyone is one, so an asshole is an asshole and needs no further designation.

i guess that birds and lizards and such don't technically have an anus, but the all-purpose cloaca - but i honestly can't imagine anyone specifically searching for a bird with a human anus so this tag is just clutter.

Please don't hide ongoing discussions on actively pending alias/implication/BUR suggestions. That just makes things difficult for everyone. If you have changed your mind and wish to reject the suggestion, then you can click on the alias link number (in the first sentence of your post), and click the 'reject' option on that page to cancel it. Otherwise, please leave it visible so that the community can see what is being discussed. Thank you.
