@Clawstripe, your name looks RED ... so you are now one of the Janitors ... Congratulations !
I'd ask you a question about what you said: If this has been suggested already.

These are my ways of checking for duplicates:
Tag Aliases (From) ● Tag Aliases (To, avoiding typo) ● Tag Implications ● Bulk Update Requests ● Searching by Forum Title ● Searching by Forum Body

No suggestion seems in existence yet in my sight.
Do you think there would be other possible ways besides mine?

Thank you. Hopefully, I will not disappoint. :)

Probably, though yours are certainly more thorough than mine. I merely searched the forum for the tag eyes_glowing in both the Title and Body boxes (both together and separately (which gave me several variations that I had to sift through), but the only definite hits I get are those in this thread. Considered that tonight alone has seen two requests that are repeats of still pending previous requests, I figured it would be best if I invited others to find any earlier requests, should they exist.

Indeed, You're right.

My fantasy was the site system could find and reject duplicates.
However, solving problems that may occur must require human intelligence/judgment.

Yes, That is the reason why, to make this site successful, We're working together with many volunteers, not just alone, aren't we.
Then I myself better have to be careful of the duplicates that others make. 🤔
