Sounds like an attention whore. Not only is there no news on this, it sounds really pointless. Good try, though.

I doubt someone would do such a pointless virus, usually people try to infect other's in hope to gain something.

Even then, unless someone found a giant exploit inside the PS3/PS4 chat system to infiltrate some malicious file in them (wich i doubt), i don't think you can pass files through the PS system (not sure because i don't own a PS system) to infect other's.
