Topic: "Sexualized Cub/Young/Loli/Shota" Tag(s)

Posted under Tag/Wiki Projects and Questions

So i've been thinking. There are rare scenarios where the TWYS rule has one tag Cub on to a picture WITH a cub but not depicting them in any sexual or explicit way, but the explicity of the image comes from something else. I know some would just omit the whole cub tag completely in this scenario, but wouldn't that technically break the TWYS rule?

I'm unsure if this suggestion has been brought up and/or shot down before, but i am curious. Could we not make a "Sexualized/explicit cub/young" tag(s) ? Now, i know the word sexualized may be a bit extreme, considering explicity of an image is not exclusively sexual in nature as gore/nudity is explicit. But i believe the idea should still be understood.

The loli and shota tags exists as a purely "Non safe" young characters tags, but the lack of the usage in some cases and the lack of a gender neuteral version is also why i wanna suggest this tag in the first place.

This could replace the auto blacklist of "young -rating:safe" and have this new tag(s) be the de facto warning tag(s) for that.

If the tag you want literally already exists and not enough people use it, I fail to see how creating a second tag with exactly the same meaning would fix your problem.

What this guy said.

This is literally what the rating system is for.

There’s a number of people I know of that would protest the inclusion of young characters in any sexually explicit art. It’s an idea… but I see no reason for it to affect the global blacklist.

It's not about the rating honestly, it's about content featured.

My example of the loli and shota tags simply a form of example of how it'd function, and both tags are flawed in that it's purely sexual in nature and only covers the binary gender. Yes, the lack of usage and popularity is always the biggest hurdle, but i feel like the end product if successful could end up better.

A much more, precise and specific filter for content basically.

loli and shota already _are_ for this. I don't see how adding new tags that are meant to do the same thing would help. I can see wanting the same for the other 5 gender tags, but I'm not sure if that'd really help a set of tags that are already undertagged.

Yeah i don't have a solution for the undertagged problem, and this isn't really a solution for it. But i'm more trying to expand the vareity/specifiity of content. Which i guess goes againts the whole undertagged problem.

This all may have been a mistake i suppose. But i never really expected succes but more a disscussion.
