Topic: I am considering doing porn. At first was excited, now am worried.

What's up e621. So, I'm a sexually frustrated dude who thought to himself "Hey, why don't I get paid for sex instead of the other way around?"
I knew of some of the risks, such as effectively blacklisting yourself from certain professions/social groups but was still willing to try it out just for the "experience" alone, if nothing else.

I came across this one site that calls itself Hussie Models. At first it seemed like the greatest darn thing in the world. Get paid to have sex with beautiful young temptresses, free travel costs, and all the help getting started an amateur could desire. Then I heard about that documentary after a quick google search. I'm pretty sure I'll incur the wrath of the mods for sending links but searching them up yourself should quickly yield some cautionary results of the main agent (or whatever this man is) lying to & manipulating the girls.

I came so close to signing up too. I'm pretty dumb, fairly young, and I really want something like this to not be too good to be true. What do you guys think? Am I playing a game I can't handle? Will I be completely on my own if I try to be an amateur? Will I receive a record just for making this forum? Please let me know.

This is an art site, all modelling agencies are scams, doing porn is an extremely exhausting job.
Make an onlyfans or something if you want to do that sort of thing, either way this isnt the place to discuss it.

Apologies. Don't know of any other place to discuss it, really.

Go for it! But don’t bother with like trying to find a studio or modeling agency. The big porn industry is dying and most the people left are just vultures trying to consume what’s left before it all goes indie. normally I’ll just take my own pictures and stuff and upload them to Reddit pages centered around specific kinks (like uploading bulge pics in the bulge subreddit).

Best of luck! Doing porn has definitely helped me feel more comfortable in my skin, I hope it does the same for you!

Thanks! ^^
Yeah, everything I've heard about an actual studio was bad. Thanks for wishing me luck!
This will definitely be a new and interesting chapter in my life.

Use an alias that's separate from other content. Don't connect the two and you won't blacklist yourself from safer works.

Wait, hang on, this sounds like straight up prostitution, not art modelling. That might be legal in some few areas, but most regions, especially in America, that's illegal. If you're going to try and get some art models to help you draw, that's fine, but prostitutes are a dangerous, high-risk "rent". You can also go for artist modelling figures, with posable limbs--or hell, try and build a bionicle to shape, if you can manage that you'll have customizable body shapes with greater posability.

I think we have each other confused. I'm talking about performing in amateur pornographic videos. Y'know, sex on camera.
Honestly though, I have heard of Hussie Models tricking the girls into fucking Johns but am unsure whether it is more than a rumor.

That reminds me though, I should really familiarize myself with laws pertaining to the porn industry, make sure my bases are covered.

Oh, somehow I read "doing porn" as "drawing porn" and that stuck with me. Making porno is... an odd thing. Hard to keep yourself hidden when you do that, meaning it's far easier to get yourself blacklisted from various communities.
As for success in it, I have no idea how all that works, so I can only say good luck with that.

Could do like wrestlers and super heroes (half joking), but yeah... The entire business is full of vultures and there's so many prudes being rude.

Except for certain counties in Nevada where brothel prostitution is legal. Street-level prostitution is still illegal.

I would say that if you are just sexually frustrated and not strapped for cash, then just look up for some hookup sites.

Going into the sex industry or adult entertainment can be a rough and sometimes dangerous business.

  • Your pay, especially as an amateur male actor, is going to be abysmal.
  • I doubt you get to choose which actresses you want to be with or when you would even get to do it.
  • You will be in constant competition from other like-minded (and probably more attractive-looking) individuals looking into getting your job.
  • It can be dangerous if you don't know the right contacts and get involved in shady under-the-table business.
  • You may get a plethora of STDs if improper protection is used during sex.

But hey, I do not have any firsthand experience in all of that and I can't stop you if you still want to try it out.
Just know that it is not going to be a viable long-term career choice. You will eventually have to come out to work in other lines of business if you want the money to keep flowing.

This post in particular is very helpful, thank you. I've actually tried hookup sites first with no luck unfortunately. I am unsure as to why nobody is interested but they're not, sadly.

Imma first and foremost join the Hub's discord and see what kind of help I can get from them. If the community is horrible, I'll also let you guys know lol.
Already have a small idea on how to go about it. I think remaining independent is my best bet.

My main career choice is actually something in the tech field. Unsure what yet, as am still learning the skills. Dunno how they tend to treat this kind of thing, though.

Contrary to what hentai and furry porn might indicate, porn studios aren't filled with Zig Zag level sex maniacs who continue their onscreen shenanigans behind the set. They're typical studio workers and actors who are doing a job, often with inadequate benefits and without the assistance of actors' unions. That's hard work they're doing, convincingly faking enjoyment and orgasms for the exact same scene several times in a row. Once they hit the papworth everard*, they're more than ready to quit for the day, except there might still be some more takes left to do for that scene, plus all the other scenes in the day's shoot. Imagine keeping an erection going for all of that. Also, abuse of and addiction to painkillers is common in the porn industry, especially amongst actresses. Furthermore, it's not a good long term career to have if you're going to be in front of the camera. Time takes its toll on all of us, and the studios typically want young and good looking actors. Once you get old enough, you'll basically be out of work, craving painkillers, with not much of a retirement.

Best to assume they would treat it as other mainstream fields would in that that sort of thing would be a liability for you if you were connected to it. Many employers these days tend to like to snoop on the backgrounds of their employees for dirt to dig up, and someone with a dodgy or controversial background would be considered "bad for the company's image".

Yeah, if possible go under an alias. It won't stop all digs but it may stop some.

I didn't even know that is something that men can actually do. Most of the time, the guys you see in a porno are the producers of the films themselves (which is why they tend to be as ugly as sin.)

Way ahead of you on that one. I've got a couple balaclavas and maybe a gas mask I can wear. I'll paint my online persona as a dangerous guerilla masturbator.

I have a friend in the industry, and from what she tells me, it's not as attractive as it sounds. Modeling agencies are hella sketchy in general, and most models encounter varying amounts of sexual harassment that is often dismissed as "part of the business". If I had to make a suggestion: Stay independent, build your audience and gain a following from a social media platform, start an OnlyFans page once you've got enough, then advertise it to the maximum degree. Just like most careers, gotta start from the ground up before you get other opportunities.

If you want my blunt recommendation: Pursue that tech career, bro. There are a lot of tech jobs that are hiring right now and in the future, especially UX/UI designers. Also, the starting salary is high due to excess demand.

You do what you want to do though. All we can do is make suggestions.

I really do appreciate all you guys' advice and help on this. I don't want to go into too graphic detail of my plans to execute various sexual shenanigans on camera, but yes. I will definitely stay independent.
From the get-go, I mainly planned to have this as a combination of getting good sex & a side hustle kind of thing. I think doing solo videos to start with, uploading them onto the Hub & xvideos, then branching out to social media just as you said before finally starting up an onlyfans page is a decent enough plan. I've been taking a look at various amateur verified males on PH, seeing what their whole shtick is and where they tend to operate online.

Like I said, I must keep my face covered for sure. At this point, the likelihood of me getting an attractive female amateur to collaborate with is probably fairly low, but if I can at least turn it into a decent/safe(ish) side hustle then I'll be happy.

And you are most certainly right about my career of choice. I've been taking a look on indeed and just an apprentice position could potentially net me 100K per year. If anyone reading this is struggling for money and/or hates their job, I recommend looking up a training course for this kind of thing. Like, codecademy or freecodecamp. Not trynna advertise, just hoping I could help someone who is reading this.
