The worst type of comments on this site:
"Needs a female version"
"Needs a cum version"
"Needs a version without the watersports"
"Would be better with a horsecock"
"Can you animate this?"
etc.

Don't these get reported for "asking for free art"?
"Great time to log in!" is the equivalent to commenting "First!" on a YouTube video
I've never understood why out of all the weird e621 comments, this is one of the things I see people complain about the most...

because it's pointless and annoying. you see a post that has a few comments and you want to see what they're talking about and two out of the four comments are just saying some variation of "great time to log in" and nothing else, and the other two are people just replying agreeing.

What's wrong with telling an artist that you like their art?

As I once told the person who kept saying "Good job" to literally everything I uploaded, the +fav will tell me you liked it. Don't bother commenting unless you have something to say beyond that.

Nah, first is worse. "Great time to log in" doesn't try to claim to be first, just that they logged in to see good art, so it's more along the lines of "Great video!" on Youtube. While still bland, it at least carries something more than the "haha fuck you I was here first even though I have no idea what this is for" that "first" carries (Seriously, if you're commenting it 'appropriately' on a popular channel, it means you went in and commented without watching a single second of the video. That's just rude). "Nice video" or "Good art" at least implies having actually looked at it. I don't think it should be banned whatsoever, let it be.
Where is this coming from? I have never seen it, and suddenly it's everywhere.

I'm pretty sure it's been a thing for years. But This Is coming from the guy who:
A. Has only been here for a year
B. Doesn't search new often

patient zero for the phrase is a comment from 2016 on post #1085881. the comment appeared occasionally for the next four or so years until around December of 2020 when it suddenly started getting commented neigh weekly and the infection trend has continued to spread from there, growing at an ever faster rate as time passes.

If it's being posted on a bunch of images by the same person in a short span, then it counts as spam, which yeah, that's bad. But if these are separate people doing it maybe once a day at the worst, then whatever. Throw it into the argument to add a feature to blacklist comments themselves (and not comments from said user)

Some users do un-ironically comment "First!" on e6 posts.
