The tag alias #57725 genital_removal -> genital_mutilation has been rejected.

Reason: A few users seem to have been tagging this on posts with the genital_mutilation tag for the past year or so and the only purpose genital_removal serves looks to be an alternate term for mutilation. As genital mutilation is larger I propose aliasing genital_removal to it.

Nothing's currently under that, but couldn't genital removal also include magical means of removing it, without damaging the body?

Additionally, mutilation itself doesn't have to be removal.

Actually, I think this would be best. Genital_removal should not be used - rather, a specific type of genital removal, such as castration, penectomy, or clitoridectomy should be used instead. These tags (besides penectomy, which is simply missing the implication) already imply genital_mutilation as the genital mutilation tag refers to either the disfigurement of the genitals or their complete removal. As far as getting rid of genital_removal is concerned, I think genital_mutilation is the only valid alias, as that is what the tag is used for.

As for, say, magical means of genital removal without damaging the body, note that genital_mutilation doesn’t necessarily require damage. From the genital_mutilation wiki:

The genitals of a character being damaged, injured, or modified beyond their original state

Therefore, actual harm is not required. Even the dictionary agrees, mutilation (despite popular usage of the word) does not actually require harm to have been done, technically - only removal or disfigurement.
