Topic: [REJECTED] Tag alias: kemo-safe -> naturally_censored

Posted under Tag Alias and Implication Suggestions

The tag alias #57722 kemo-safe -> naturally_censored has been rejected.

Reason: This is a term mostly seen in the Japanese anthro community. Kemo-safe specifically refers to a character's sensitive parts being obscured because they're covered in fur (hence, safe because they're a kemono).

EDIT: The tag alias kemo-safe -> naturally_censored (forum #337250) has been rejected by @bitWolfy.

What's wrong with featureless_crotch and so on? Seems redundant.

because the featureless_* tags are totally diffrent? naturally_censored is usually closer to pseudo_clothing, but not necessarily clothes-shaped or serving similar function to clothing.

naturally_censored would indicate there's something there to censor. An anthro with a featureless_crotch+crotch_tuft (or featureless_breasts+breast_tuft) doesn't count as "censored". There's also no uses of the tag either and no indications of if or how it would be used by anyone, so I don't think it should be aliased.

Might be good to translate it then. Fluff-safe or furry-safe, something along those lines.

wouldn’t kemosafe be easier to find by the people who are familiar with the tag? if someone who knew about kemosafe wanted to find it on the site, they’d probably search it first before trying to find a translated version. i feel like this would make more sense for the same reason ahoge is tagged as ahoge and not “stupid hair”.

though would it be used in all instances of natural_censorship or just when it’s mentioned in the image? it could be a copyright tag the same way memes are tagged.

overall i think this alias makes sense. kemosafe is just the japanese term for what we refer to as natural_censorship, right? i won’t vote just yet because i want to hear what others think.

Not actually sure. Leaning towards yes, though.

Given that the tag has never been used, and I wouldn't call all instances of it "natural_censorship", this alias seems unnecessary and wrong. We don't need to make unnecessary aliases that just fill up the tag suggestion list with undesired results, especially if the super rare time someone is interested in using it, results in a mistag. Some twitter results mentioning it:

None of these classify as natural censorship.

Even results like this I wouldn't call "natural censorship", just crotch_tuft+featureless_crotch:
