Wasn't there a discussion a while back on whether alien is even compatible with TWYS? There's currently a ton of things that imply alien though, so I guess it's fine?

yeah, it was in reference to lombax, the implication failed because lombaxes (lombaxi?) weren't "alien" enough (a concept which I still cannot fully grasp), if that matters.

For the record, I still think alien should be reserved for species that at least somewhat follow the pop culture idea of what an alien looks like, or should be recognizable as “alien” in some way without having any lore knowledge of the species. Roswell_grey, sangheili, whatever species invader zim is, and yautja would all be good examples of that. Things that just look like they could be Earth mammals or fantasy creatures (lombax, wookiee, sergal, etc.) should not.
