If we're going to validate fakeveelution by adding implications to it, how do we (under TWYS, mind you) even differentiate some of these from just weird sparkledogs?
The ears aren't a constant, and the tail isn't a constant either. This seems almost as arbitrary as mimiff was.

species tags for fictional species, like character tags, generally a have a bit of fuzzyness as to what they can be tagged on via TWYS, in some cases it can be based on more on intention than the final outcome. although I'm still not exactly sure how I feel about implying stuff to fakeveelution even if that tag is valid.

Both points are fair, I'm torn over whether the fakeveelution tag is even needed rather than some combination of Fakemon, fan character, and eeveelution tags.

Reason: post #2317348 is Terreon's reaction to seeing that the post doesn't have the Fakeveelution tag,

That's not a reason? Give a reason. Is Terreon a fakemon designed as an evolution of Eevee? Or is it just Eevee but some fancy designs (Maybe counting as a fake regional variant, does that qualify still?)?

Fakeveelutions do not have common visible traits that can be used to identify them... just like pokémon, fakémon and eeveelutions. I assume we aren't going to invalidate those.

I created the tag to stop people from mistagging fakémon as eeveelutions. The theme of "what if eevee had an x y z type evolution" is common enough that the existence of a tag for it is justified and necessary.

Huh this decision is interesting. An official fake?
I assume implicating these tags together would only occur if it's populated enough, but there's only 6 posts

This is a weird one tbh, shouldn’t it just implicate fakemon anyways? We have an eeveelution tag so fakemon +eeveelution would be a fine search for it right? Or am I missing something ?

I see the fakeveelution tag says it shouldn’t be talked as eeveelution, but there’s a fake eeveelution that already straight up implies fakemon

Eeveelution implies pokemon, and fakemon aren't supposed to be tagged pokemon. And yeah the other fake eeveelutions should be made to imply fakeveelution instead - looks like somebody moved nucleon to nucleon_(fakemon) without updating the implication also

wait, they're not supposed to be tagged pokemon or they're not supposed to be tagged pokemon_(species)? because generally we do tag fan characters to their origin series where applicable.

If they're clearly designed after a particular pokemon, you can tag that pokemon (which would imply pokemon_(species)). But if they're a more general design not specific to some pokemon species, they shouldn't be tagged pokemon or pokemon_(species). See the fakemon wiki:

Note that the franchise tags such as Pokémon and Digimon are for official creations. Fan-made species should be tagged simply as "fakémon" unless clearly based on official species.
