The tag implication #44336 photo_background -> photography_(artwork) has been approved.

Reason: An image with a photo background contains photography_(artwork).

While technically true, I think it's handy to separate posts that are purely photography from ones that aren't. In order to find posts that are not purely photographs, but instead mixed_media with a photo background, would require searching with the mixed_media tag as well, to remove purely photograph posts from merely photo_background posts
photo_background -mixed_media gives over 30 pages of results.
photo_background mixed_media gives 2.
photo_background photography_(artwork) has one page of results.
While these should probably be fixed, this seems like it adds an additional tagging step(especially to newer taggers) and makes it easier for posts to go under the radar, and harder to find. If the general consensus in the tags already made is to distinguish between the two, I think that is good precedent

alpha_channels are technically a digital thing. I don't think that means every post tagged alpha_channel traditional_media needs to be tagged mixed_media(though some probably should be)

Separately though, photo_background probably SHOULDN'T be tagged on posts with photography_(artwork), and should be reserved for mixed_media posts. So implicating mixed_media to photo_background probably should be done.

But if photo_background implies both photography_(artwork) and mixed_media, all you’d have to do to find pure photography would be to search photography_(artwork) -mixed_media.
