The tag alias #57657 aboulia -> peppercorn_kiddo has been approved.

Reason: I am aboulia, aka peppercorn and would like to change my name to peppercorn on this platform. I'm not familiar with the procedure or etiquette regarding changing names that share the same title as another, but I have seen that the other artist peppercorn has not been active in a long while. That being said, I do not mind changing my name tag to something like "peppercorn2" if we are unable to share the same name on this platform.

It doesn’t matter how long the other artist has been inactive for; you can’t have the same tag as them.

Peppercorn has posted stuff to FA in April of 2021, so she hasn't even been inactive for very long at all. it's just most of the stuff doesn't get pushed to e6.

I think the best possible thing would be to come up with a more unique name, or just keep the current aboulia tag. But yes, if you want to keep peppercorn, I’d say adding numbers or some other word or letter to the end of it would be the best way to go.

Perhaps combine Aboulia and Peppercorn — aboulia_peppercorn or peppercorn_aboulia?

Perhaps. What about Pepper_corn? surely the distinction between the two would be enough to make the difference.

Though Peppercorn_Kiddo could be an extension of the name if that would not be an option. Whatever the case, I wanted to distance myself from the current name, not that i don't appreciate the suggestion

Eh, I don’t know. Technically, pepper_corn_(artist) is available, but it’s so similar to peppercorn_(artist) that there’s likely to be confusion. Remember that peppercorn is still a separate artist that some people may want to search for. Plus, some people may want to search for you and they may end up with the other peppercorn. It would actually be in your best interest as an artist to have a more unique name that people can recognize as you and not get confused with the other peppercorn. peppercorn_kiddo would work just fine, IMO.

You make a fair point. With that being said. Would another submission have to be created in order to change the suggestion to Peppercorn_kiddo? Or would someone come along to change it manually based on the thread's conversation?

This one has to be rejected by an admin first, and then you can create another request. (The site doesn't allow existing requests to be edited, or for more than one alias request to exist for the same tag at once.)

I didn't find "year" searching through the topic, so another option is appending the year you became active with that user name, perhaps? Granted I think people usually do that with birth years, but that's a bit more personal and I'm always surprised when I see it.
