The tag implication #43628 penetrated_pov -> receiving_pov has been approved.

Reason: If the POV is being penetrated, then the POV is on the receiving end of whatever's being dealt. Not making an alias because receiving_pov can apply for non-penetrated POVs, per the wiki.

what exactly is the difference between receiving and penetrated? Given there isn't a wiki for the latter I'd like to here your interpretation of it before I decide to vote on this as to me they're the same thing

It does seem odd for a "receiving_pov" character to not be receiving, like in that example. Imminent sex isn't also tagged as sex, so why would a character that's about to receive be tagged as receiving?

Relatedly, it seems to me a receiving character should be one that's receiving something from another... a character getting a facial would be receiving, for example, or one getting urinated on would be receiving. One character gives, another receives. Being penetrated wouldn't inherently be receiving since the penetrating object still "belongs to" the penetrator, unless it's injecting their cum or some other bodily fluid. A first person view of a character masturbating with a penetrating dildo would be penetrated_pov, but receiving_pov seems wrong for a masturbating character.

ah, that example makes the implication make sense to me. The example is poor as well I agree as well, it seems like something that would be more appropriately tagged as submissive_pov maybe

Problem is, all the existing penetration tags apply to a character penetrating themselves. Dildo sitting also implies penetration, even though it's a character doing to themself. Dildo in ass/dildo in pussy also imply anal/vaginal penetration, even though it can be a character doing it to themself or by another. Autopenetration looks wrong as it's currently set up. All other auto* tags (autocunnilingus, autofellatio, etc) do not imply, and are exclusive to, the base act tag (cunnilingus, fellatio, etc). fellatio and autofellatio are different, one implying a character doing it to another (and implies sex), and the other implying a character doing it to themselves (and implies masturbation), and should not be tagged together (unless it's some kind of multiple images or different characters doing different things). But having autopenetration imply penetration makes this inconsistent.
