Aliasing porn_dialogue → porn_dialog

Reason:
To be consistent with dialog.
Also, I would suggest to imply dialog while we're at it, but I happen to remember there being a reason not to.

Dialog is largely only used for computer-related things, such as a dialog box, where as dialogue is more commonly used for speech, so I think dialogue and porn_dialogue would make better tags.

You're a little late. About a year late.

Wouldn't be too late to reverse it...
'Dialog' always reminds of tech stuff, so I'd prefer dialogue. :/

I use dialog for everything because I'm apparantly a younger pleb that doesn't know any better.

I always thought that dialog was to be used for everything since dialogue is aliased to dialog.
Generally speaking, they mean the same thing. I suspect that we're in the middle of a gradual respelling as dialog is preferred over dialogue, where dialogue becomes the "outdated" spelling form. If it doesn't it will probably come to mean different things in the same way that effect/affect is currently. I personally doubt it will stick to just a computer term though. That's just what I see anyways.
As far as tagging goes they mean the same thing, whether we choose dialog or dialogue for them all is actually irrelevant.

"Dialog" just looks wrong. Dialogue on the other hand, looks right. I mean, what exactly is the "Dia" that you're posting a log of, huh?
Wikipedia redirects you to Dialogue, urban dictionary says Dialog is diarrhea with a solid lump of fecal matter
Dialog box works because it's a "Log" (Computer term for transcript) of stuff, but in pornography this isn't a transcript, but actual dialogue bubbles.

Urban dictionary also says dialogue is
The conversations that you have with someone after you have known them FOREVER, and have absolutly NOTHING left to talk about. "Conversations" imply two way, thoughtful, communication. "Dialogue" could be spouted out by a parot and be the same
Which is almost less helpful than the definition you've found.
What exactly is a logue anyways, and why do I have two of them? ;) Dia (two) + logue (to speak).
Every dictionary I've checked says "also dialog".
Log actually doesn't share any etymology with the "logue" in dialogue, but they've certainly influenced each other.

So, looking into this, it looks like the sole reason we went with "dialog" over "dialogue" was a perceived british english vs american english regional spelling difference. But after googling it, it appears that both spellings are used in both countries. Especially in America we use both spellings for conversation. And I'd also agree with Parasprite's conclusion that the spelling of the word is in a gradual shift at the moment. Words do that anyways, it's the nature of languages. And with the influence of digital and tech + the human trend towards shortening words and simplifying vowel combinations...I think there's a good chance that fifty something years down the road "dialog" will have become the dominant spelling for both uses in America. It will be interesting to see how that goes. Sometimes they succeed and sometimes they don't.
However, the main point is that both spellings "dialog" and "dialogue" are currently in widespread use in America, so we can pick whichever one we want. And it sounds like most people would prefer we go back to "dialogue". And since "dialog" would be aliased to it, it would create a shorthand version. Which sounds like it would work just fine. So, it is approved.
Also I'm pretty sure we can implicate porn_dialogue to --> dialogue. The ones that didn't work to implicate were various combinations of speech_bubble, text and dialogue because there's exceptions to how they overlap with each other. But porn_dialogue already implicates "dialog" and should always be a form of dialogue, so it should be fine to transfer that implication. So, also approved.
