The tag alias #55619 dragonborn_(skyrim) -> dovahkiin has been approved.

Reason: Both of these tags refer to the same character.

EDIT: The tag alias dragonborn_(skyrim) -> dovahkiin (forum #322420) has been approved by @bitWolfy.

I could be pedantic about it and point out that there have been several dragonborn in Tamriel's history.
And that the main character of TES5 is specifically the Last Dragonborn.

But it does not really make a ton of difference here.

Dovahkiin is just the dragon language way of saying "Dragonborn." Every single dovahkiin is a dragonborn, every single dragonborn is a dovahkiin.

Well, the (Skyrim) suffix would indicate that it’s referring specifically to the Last Dragonborn, while any one of them can be Dovahkiin. However, given that you can customize the Last Dragonborn to look like anything, and all the others are probably going to be specific characters with specific names and appearances (ie. Miraak), it’s probably safe to just call the Last Dragonborn “Dovahkiin.”

Well, I did mean in terms of the Skyrim dragonborn.
Technically, Miraak is still alive unless you complete Dragonborn's storyline, so it's not really fair to say "The Last Dragonborn". Other dragonborn can even still show up, in art and in mods, and still go by the same tag, so if we want to refer to specifically the dragonborn who deals with Alduin and everything else involved in that storyline, we should have a specific tag for that, not any generic tag.

Miraak aside, the protagonist of TES5 is called The Last Dragonborn in the TES wiki.

dovahkiin is the tag for that, according to its wiki page. I know others, ie. Miraak can also be called Dovahkiin, but there’s no reason to use that tag for other Dragonborns since they currently all have names. We use the tag as a character tag even though it’s technically a role rather than a character, but to treat it as a role and apply the tag to other dragonborns would probably violate TWYS in any case. Insofar as this tag is concerned, it’s mostly just a male human with that distinctive curled horn helmet.
