What is a “control collar,” then? Do we need a tag for it?

I mean, if you've seen/played the SAW series you might be familiar with the shotgun collar. Equal parts terrifying ingenuity and just plain terrifying, it was ultimately meant to control the "tested" by restricting access to certain locations, such as (but not limited to) escaping their "test"...

This trap could be labeled a "control collar", as although the victims still had free will, activating the collar would kill the wearer and therefore, it persuaded the wearers to act against their will, or to alter choices to avoid triggering it. So, a control collar that is not using hypnosis to control the victim. As a description, a control collar would be a collar that uses any method to control the wearer, possibly forcing them to perform certain actions and et cetera. We could make an implication hypnosis_collar -> control_collar, but we shouldn't flip the implication or make an alias in either direction.

Now, just how many posts do we have on e6, where a collar is clearly controlling a victim through means other than hypnosis?

Can we tell if hypnosis is being used or not if there are no swirly eyes or anything like that?
For example, is this hypnosis?

There's definitely mind control implied in the first one, and it doesn't appear to be though hypnosis. There are multiple ways of mind control, hypnosis is just the most commonly known one. So yea, I definitely think we shouldn't alias control collar to hypnosis collar, there's definitely more than one way of controlling someone.

Can’t we just alias hypnotic_collar to control_collar, then? That would cover any edge cases where hypnosis isn’t obvious, or might be implied but can’t be proven. Hypnosis and control collar can be tagged separately to identify which control collars are using hypnosis without adding extra tags.

This would sound more intuitive based on the tag names. Certainly a hypnotic collar would be a control collar, as hypnotism is mind control.

In real life, most typical control collar is probably the anti-barking collars for dogs. They apply no hypnotism.
