Topic: [REJECTED] Tag alias: larger_prey -> smaller_pred

Posted under Tag Alias and Implication Suggestions

The tag alias #55066 larger_prey -> smaller_pred has been rejected.

Please reject.

Reason: Reason: A smaller pred means larger prey and vice versa. smaller_pred should be the main tag, since its easier to tell in isolation, eg, pred with an ambiguous prey in their belly, but a prey in strictly an internal its harder to tell if this tag would apply.

I probably should have done this as a BUR with alias #55064 but I did not think to at the time.

EDIT: The tag alias larger_prey -> smaller_pred (forum #319270) has been rejected by @NotMeNotYou.

This seems a bit slippery. People will get confused why one side is tagged and not the other. Why not just alias both to a group tag, such as larger_prey/smaller_pred?

I agree with this, to avoid confusion. A relationship (group) tag would work better to clearly show the dynamic.

This could be done as well, though a discussion on the Smaller_dom_larger_sub thread seems to prefer just showing one side. The scheme should be homogenized through all uses of size difference probably, for consistency. topic #31197

Something like this should work, I think.

alias larger_prey -> larger_prey/smaller_pred
alias smaller_pred -> larger_prey/smaller_pred

This alias should be rejected first, though.

I mentioned in this in the BUR I made here. Some are blocked and need to be resolved first.
