Topic: [REJECTED] Tag alias: shocked_expression -> shocked

Posted under Tag Alias and Implication Suggestions

The tag alias #54544 shocked_expression -> shocked has been rejected.

Reason: Based on the wiki page for "shocked" ("shocked_expression doesn't have one), they're basically being used to describe the same thing.

EDIT: The tag alias shocked_expression -> shocked (forum #317750) has been rejected by @NotMeNotYou.

Should be reversed, or disambiguate shocked. Shocked can refer to someone being electrically shocked. There's other tags like surprise, happy, and sad that can also do with having the _expression suffix to separate it from other meanings.

I would agree, but honestly, that's just overthinking it. Nobody or rather a minority would come here looking for pictures of something getting electrocuted and that'd just be chalked up or thrown into "dynamic_pose"
What you said makes sense, but it's really a minority.

In the long run, it could go in a BUR but for now, meh. I mean, nobody is coming here for action pics or comics in which you would see electrocution or someone struck by lightning...

Hard to say. Electric stimulation to an orgasm is a real thing, after all. There likely is a fetish for it somewhere in furry art, somewhere.

There is electrostimulation with 1K posts, electrocution with 212 posts, and even electroshock weapon with 171 posts, so there is precedent for it. And if someone's unfamiliar with the terms, using shocked may seem reasonable. The same can be said for surprise, where it can be a verb or noun rather than an adjective. Happy and sad can also be used to refer to a general mood of the piece instead of a character's facial expression. Having these under shocked_expression, surprised_expression, happy_expression, sad_expression, etc, just makes it all clearer and less ambiguous what the tags should be used for.

Okay, makes sense.
