Mmmm, I don't have any experience with either tag, but I suppose from a technical standpoint, detached is after the fact, when the limbs have already came off, whereas detachable limbs is whereby the limbs have already been attached.

I think maybe one who blacklists one would blacklist the other, but one searching for the former (detached limbs) may not always search for the latter (detachable limbs). There also may be a difference in terms of what one is looking for (other than the tags themselves). For example, the former seems more likely to be orientated towards gore, whereas, whilst the latter maybe as well, could be also oriented towards robots and the like.

I think here, the notion is that how do we tell the limbs are detachable if they aren't detached? Only in a comic page or a picture which has multiple unattached limbs identical to ones a character is wearing could a TWYS case be made for detachable limbs that are still attached, but even then, the only evidence that they are detachable is that there are detached limbs shown in the same post.

Thus I'd say we ought to reverse this alias.
