The tag implication #41142 dock_piercing -> furry-specific_piercing has been approved.

Reason: only furries have docks to pierce.

According to the wiki, furry-specific is for anthro characters, and honestly I don't think that's even possible. Feral characters can get those very same piercings, even real animals could get such piercings, cruel as it may be.

Couldn’t you say the same about wing_piercing, tail_piercing, claw_piercing, horn_piercing, muzzle_piercing, tentacle_piercing, sheath_piercing, fin_piercing, pouch_piercing, beak_piercing, dewlap_piercing, cloacal_piercing, antennae_piercing, frill_piercing, crest_piercing, and snake_hood_piercing? These all imply furry-specific_piercing, but they could all be applied to ferals.

I think the idea is that “furry” includes ferals for the purposes of this site. Images of ferals are not tagged not_furry. The wiki doesn’t specifically say it has to be anthro, it says “anthropomorphic, or otherwise furry,” which would logically include ferals. As far as I can tell, the only limit is that it can’t be possible on a human.

Exactly. There's no such thing as "Can only exist on a furry character," all of these piercings can be performed on real-world animals. The wiki would need a rewrite if this is valid.

But don’t we consider artistic depictions of real-world animals to be furry for the purposes this site? That is, we don’t apply the not_furry tag to those posts. Anything with animal attributes, as far as I can tell, qualifies as furry… roughly speaking.

I suppose it could… though regarding angels, I have to wonder where we draw the line between an angel and an avian_humanoid.

Perhaps non-human_piercing would be a more ideal tag name.

Couldn't a particularly fluffed tail on an imp be considered a dock, with a piercing being a docked piercing then?
