Topic: Why is there no tag for singular/multiple actors in a single post?

Posted under Tag/Wiki Projects and Questions

My first forum post/question on this site, pretty new to the site as an account owner.

I just wanted to ask why tags like female_only/male_only or multiple_females/multiple_males don't exist on this site.
As someone with preferences towards a single sex, it'd be nice to get solo posts with just that gender, or to search for multiple X on single Y.

The tag solo indicates that there is only one character. So solo + gender gets what you want. There's also gender_focus tags which are for images which contain multiple genders but focus on only one. gender/gender tags can help with finding various sexual combinations, but I don't think we can search for multiple x on single y or for exact numbers of a given gender.

One great option is to blacklist the absence of your preferred gender. For example adding -male to a blacklist will return only posts with males.

Additionally duo indicates two characters and group indicates 3 or more. I'd check the wiki for more details.

People already consistently fail to tag intersexes correctly, using tags to count genders would be a nightmare.

Using numbered gender tags doesn't seem especially practical, given the volume of intersexes and herms, compared to places like Danbooru which do count characters by gender.

That's 6 different tags for each gender, and between male, female, ambiguous gender, "girly", "manly", "tomboy", "shota", "loli", and the various intersexes, there could be as many as 12 of these, but given that the pattern until now for gendered tags excludes everything but male, female, ambiguous, and intersexes, let's suppose we only have 8 of these "genders" tagged, including a generic "#intersexes", which would have to be manually tagged since 1gynomorph and 1herm would result in 2intersexes, not 1intersex.

Even if we were to adopt all 6 * 8 (48) of these tags, "solo", "duo", and "group" will still have to be tagged manually, and every single post on this site would have to be updated with the new tags. You can't really automate these, either, as any post where "group" is tagged, or ones where the number of genders is not equal to the number of characters, or ones where a gender transformation sequence is present (such as a male/female duo changing to a female/female one), would require manual tagging.

But don't worry, after every post is tagged, you'll be able to search "group" images that have exactly 2 females, and not 1 female or 3 females!

Yeah, pass.

Here's a list of tags you can use:

  • male - posts with male.
  • female - posts with female.

If you want single males, search male solo. If you want single females, female solo.
If you want male on female action, search male/female. Do note that it does not exempt bisexual activities (i.e. male doing a male doing a female).
If you want to see purely male on female action, search male/female -male/male -female/female.
Just add either solo, duo, group for the number of characters. We do not tag the specific amount of characters/genders, however, due to the reasons stated by @Lafcadio.

Thanks for the reply all. Indeed, with getting a bit more creative witht the tagging system, I can practically search for what I want.
