Topic: Tag alias: Netorare -> Infidelity

Posted under Tag Alias and Implication Suggestions

I've seen a lot of tagged instances of NTR in doujins where neither person is in a relationship and one just has strong feelings for the other, but that might just be cuckolding/cuckqueaning so i'm not sure.

Would jealous be a better fit, with infidelity/cuckold being applied separately when appropriate?
It won't fix netorare mistaggings though.
As far as I can tell:
post #1984585 just looks like infidelity to me.
post #1580635 post #2357594 is just cuckold

Also should there be a jealousy->jealous merge?

I think jealous might not be a good fit. The person doesn't even have to know or be present while they are being cheated on for it to count as netorare. I do agree there is some mistaggings. Luckily there is only a few posts with the tag of netorare, so fixing misstags wont be too difficult at least.

Looking at the Urban Dictionary: [...]It should be defined as CHEATING/Unfaithful/Adultery.

When it said adultery, i figured that since adultery was aliased to infidelity, i figured why not netorare?
https://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Netorare

post #1984585 makes sense that it is infidelity, the cuckold themself needs to be present for it to be cuckold. But it still fits as netorare/infidelity because she is being unfaithful.
post #1580635 post #2357594 yeah, those definitely fit the cuckold bill not netorare afaik.

Also, i do think it's a good idea that jelousy and jelous should be merged much like how happiness is just aliased to happy.

I'm not a huge fan of using Urban Dictionary as a primary information source, especially articles that sound as salty as that one.
Other sources I can find are saying that it is just synonymous with cheating, though.

A big part of this is probably going to be unclear definitions on what each term means, as there are differences between what is technically cuckolding, and what fetish cuckolding is.

Edit:

For tagging purposes, the cuckold must be present and in a relationship with the unfaithful partner.

(from cuckold)
Practically the only need I can see for a specific netorare tag are for cuck-fetish scenarios where the characters aren't in a relationship. But currently the current tagging is mostly just standard cuckold or infidelity caught

post #2047933 But something like this (or a lot of other Zaush work honestly) is effectively adjacent to fetish-cuck but without the relationship element. It seems like the usual dilemma of a tag being possibly useful, but not the way people are using it.

Maybe I'm missing context, but that image doesn't seem like it's cuck/NTR/whatever? There's no suggestion of a relationship, whoever's on the other side of the door just wants to hook up too.

Plus the dollars suggest a theme of prostitution more than cuckstuff or NTR.

I could have dug for a better example but that's the point. I'm not making a hard push for it, but I'm probing around for an area where the fetish elements could apply, without being applicable for either cuckold or infidelity due to the lack of a relationship as suggested by Dogenzaka's post.
post #391224 the right-most character in this scene is a better example.
post #2135542 or if this post didn't contain the "girlfriend" line or any externally-confirmed context, but still had the rest of its dialogue.
