Topic: Tag Alias: tentacle_cock -> crotch_tentacles

Posted under Tag Alias and Implication Suggestions

Aliasing tentacle_cock → crotch_tentacles
Link to alias

Reason:

The first tag represents a concept already under the umbrella of the suggested alias. In addition to that, the language "cock" is typically aliased or changed to "penis" but in this case the suggested tag is best, unless there are other suggestions.

EDIT: The tag alias tentacle_cock -> crotch_tentacles (forum #281840) has been rejected by @Rainbow_Dash.

tentacle_penis is aliased to penis_tentacles which is entirely different tag intended for tentacles that are shaped like penis, not tentacles growing from crotch.

That's not what's at issue here. There's a "tentacle_cock" tag which should be aliased into an already existing group for that tag. It'sd the same idea so no need for it. plus, cock is aliased to penis in terms of tags anyways. it's to keep things organized. Please focus on the initial alias suggestion.

What the hell are you talking about? Crotch tentacle is when character has tentacle(s) growing from their crotch, penis tentacle is tentacle that is shaped like a penis. You cannot alias tentacle cock to crotch tentacle if tentacle penis is aliased to penis tentacle which is an entirely different tag with enitirely different use that does not overlap.

-1 as well. If tentacle_penis is aliased to penis_tentacles, and the word "cock" can mean "penis" (most of the time), then tentacle_cock should be aliased to penis_tentacles as well. The tags are synonymous with each other in this case, whereas "crotch" doesn't mean "penis" (though it can include the penis when referring to location).

Yeah, that's what I was getting at. I asked around in the chat and was recommended the crotch_tentacles tag but the overall idea is the same. bringing an extraneous tag under an existing category. I certainly didn't expect to be fussed at for it. I'm just trying to help.

Who'd you talk to that suggested that tag?

I've been corrected in chat. So, I was thinking they meant to suggest crotch_tentacles but instead they meant tentacle_cock -> tentacle_penis or something similar. the base idea is still there. just had to find a proper home for it. They suggested I make an lias thread and it's my first time with this process. so was shocked with the downvotes. There doesn't need to be TWO tags for the same concept. So amend that. it's "tentacle_cock -> tentacle_penis" both to have parity, all under one tag, and to match the modus operandi of preferring "penis" in place of cock aliasing one into the other. It just matches what we're already doing and gets rid of an extranous tag.
