Topic: Tag Alias: hands_on_shoulders -> hand_on_shoulder

Posted under Tag Alias and Implication Suggestions

I'm not sure this should be aliased or implicated. hands_on_shoulders seems to be getting used mostly for "when one character places both hands on another character's shoulders" with a few that look like mistags and self_hug when a character puts both their hands on their own shoulders.

I have similar thoughts too, but Ledi in Discord recommended proposing the alias.

There are three issues here:

1. The general drift seems to be that for simplicity the tags are all singular. (hands_on_breast, hands_on_breasts, hands_on_butt, hands_on_face, licking_hands, are all aliased to singular)
2. Is there a semantic difference?
3. Will both tags be used distinctively for different search purposes?

There are exceptions for 1, but I think the exceptions should be removed. (hand_behind_head vs. hands_behind_head, e.g.)

As for 2, a gesture with one hand on a shoulder may be more typically a gesture of support, where as two hands is of intimacy – at least for two handed creatures. Could this intent be tagged separately? Also, in sex positions, this distinction doesn't apply so often. Should shoulder_grab be used rather then?

As for 3, I assume hand_on_shoulder will be used as a common search. Hands_on_shoulders could be used to search for particular positions. But should we then also have two-handed tag for butt_grab and breast_grab for example?
