-1 scale is an incredibly ambiguous name and could be used my multiple artists.
I suggest instead a temporary alias of the reverse, with scale_(artist) being changed to a disambiguation if currently needed.

Well I don't see an issue with this. There is already an alias for one of his other names to scale_(artist), and scale is what this artist is known by.

It is also not hard to differentiate between his art style and others. There doesn't seem to be a huge need to disambiguate since that tag seems to be entirely of his art.

On that matter, scale could use a disambiguation and someone made one! scale_(disambiguation)

I don't agree with you. I don't see evidence that anyone is confusing this artist for someone else, so I don't see a strong reasoning not to give him the scale artist tag.

Out of all of those artists, the only one that is obvious that they go by just "scale" is the one with the name scale_(artist) and they have the most art out of all of the other artists with scale in their name combined.

People should not be shortening artist names when they tag. We shouldn't be assuming nor accommodating people who are doing this.

Disambiguation pages should be for tags where multiple different things are being given the same tag. Just because a bunch of artists happen to have the same word in their name should not be a reason to create a disambiguation page.
