someone tell me what's so difficult about apostrophe's

Dunno what's so difficult about them but I see people misuse them on social media all the time, along with people who keep using "break" referring to the brakes on their car. Maybe it's ignorance, laziness, who the hell knows?

I'm about half certain you're being sarcastic with your apostrophe use lol

Because sometimes it's impossible to tell the difference between `, and ' and sometimes the keyboard layout has one and not the other. On top of this even if something like google knows what you mean, e621 search requires specific one to be used.

That has nothing to do with people using apostrophes for plural.

I do not speak english natively, as such, I don't regularly use these things when I write, so I have simply taken closest ' looking thing in the keyboard and use that, hoping it's correct one. Plurars are still used, but we alter words themselves in same manner they are othervice altered, without apostrophes. Also like with stuff like "a" and "the", I kinda just guess where to use it to begin with.

Also once again, some keyboard layouts literally lack some of these completely, because they are not in use with some languages and I think I remember something about iOS keyboard having ’ instead of '.

So because of these reasons, someone searching partner’s in time instead of partner's_in_time now gets zero results.

Also note this was answer specifically for knotty, it's not commenting about the actual alias, because I think the games name should be without any apostrophes.
