Topic: Tag Alias: curled_horns -> curled_horn

Aliasing curled_horns → curled_horn
Link to alias

Reason:

ram_horns -> horn
ram_horn -> horn

goat_horns -> horn
goat_horn -> horn

Implication

curled_horn -> horn

I found a few different tags with the same end intent, the most prominently used tag is curled_horns but due to the possiblity of a character having a sole horn, I believe aliasing to curled_horn is the best opt. as well as being uniform to the current horn tags

EDIT: The tag alias curled_horns -> curled_horn (forum #273649) has been approved by @bitWolfy.

We have a tag for this already, so it'd probably be best to alias both curled_horn and curled_horns to curved_horn instead.

Hey, as long as the posts aren't distributed into multiple different tag variations of the same things I'm a happy camper

Is there an actual difference between curved_horn and curled_horn?
Both have implications and aliases, and both contain a whole range of horn shapes.

I was wondering the same thing
(neither curled_horn nor curved horn have a wiki page* and thus are not yet defined)

  • = both wiki links result in "This wiki page does not exist.". (but do show the existing aliases and implications)

***

sinuous_horn currently aliases to curved_horn (as part of BUR #946 ),
but as i suggested at topic #29716

... Wikipedia isn't much help (sinuous redirects to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sinuosity ),
although the snow photo is somewhat helpful.

dictionary.com is better ( https://www.dictionary.com/browse/sinuous says
"1 [...] having many curves, bends, or turns; winding: ..."

I suggest that maybe sinuous_horn should alias to wavy_horn instead.

wiki wavy tail "... There must be at least two distinct curves to count as a wavy tail. ..."
...

I would expect curled horns to mean a spiral while curved is more general for everything that isn't straight or just sharp angles. That doesn't seem to be how they're used, but if we're going to combine them, it may be a good idea to mass update curved and redefine it.
