Are they called dunes? I always thought they were called drifts when it was snow. Not sure about other substances.

Yeah, I'm not sure whether they are called 'drifts' or 'dunes' for snow, but I see dunes can be used for substances other than sand. I also noticed several artists and characters that could be tagged with 'dune'. I think a disambiguation for dunes would be better instead, along with dune (which currently seems to be tagged for the franchise of the same name). I'll edit the list above to reflect this.

I checked and snow dune is a term that is being used. I'm not sure if that is the most proper usage of the term.

Snowdrift is probably more proper, but many of the formations itself have names associated with dunes more than snow.

Dunes have been detected on places like Titan and Pluto, but they certainly are not made of sand. Rather, they're made of what we would consider ices. On Earth, ice dunes are also a thing. But the majority of dunes uploaded here will most likely be made of sand, I admit.
