Gary is the guy from the anime, Blue is the one from the games and the manga. We have ash_ketchum and red_(pokémon) as separate tags for a reason, the same should be done with Blue and Gary.

Fair enough honestly, though imho gary oak and blue are near identical in personality and appearance whereas ash ketchum is deliberately different and a separate entity from red. Really, gary oak and blue's personalities ingame are identical in pretty much all portrayals as well, whereas ash ketchum is entirely different from the more stoic red

But eh, I suppose that might just be my take on it
