Reason:

A domestic cat is a cat.

disagree. a lot of people casually type "cat" when they mean "feline"... I would rather it be reversed c_c which would have a lot of mistags, but still. c_c

we already alias other terms for the domestic cat (housecat, etc) to cat, so i don't really see a reason not to approve this.

As SnowWolf notes the "cat" tag is also used as a shorthand for all felines regardless of specific species, there are over 230 solo lions under that tag alone, not counting duos or group images that might feature "big cats"(lion, jaguar, cheetah, tiger) tagged as cat.

The tag also has a number of cat_humanoids, *_humanoid general are not tagged by specific species they belong to beyond the greater family. PS: A lot of the the submissions under cat are probly actually mistags from people forgeting to add the underscore in cat_humanoid >>

That's a tagging error. The cat tag explicitly notes it's not for large felines, and that it refers to the domestic cat.

It's already been approved anyways.
