-1. Pokemon as a species can be portrayed as alternate species with the same design, and aren't always shown as porcine. A base species implication will lead to mistags.

I thought that pokemon still held base mammal group tags? Like how a eevee is still a canine

Nah, the rule is set up so that individual users can personally tag pokemon posts with a base species tag if they resemble the species, not that the pokemon species themselves imply the base species. It's also a case by case basis rule
For example, eevee doesn't always look canine and can look rabbit-like, in that case tagging as lagomorph could be appropriate.
One example I've seen of this personally is Arcanine; while mostly portrayed as a canine, I've seen many feline portrayals of Arcanine

If they're drawn that way.
And eeveelutions are kind of a poor example, because those -- at least the first two gens -- were based on cabbits (cat-rabbit hybrids which were popular in Japan back in 90s). Which can be most clearly seen in Espeon and Jolteon.
