Uh... an elephant is a proboscidean, but not all proboscideans are elephants (mammoths for example)
Anyways, here are my two related proboscidean threads, since I'm here; I've long since requested elephant and the like to imply proboscidean (as of now, proboscidean only has a base mammal implication but nothing implies proboscidean yet)
Though to be honest, with how naming conventions of species tags work, it might be better for a mod to alias proboscidean to proboscid and THEN have the species like elephant and mammoth imply proboscid rather than proboscidean. Proboscid is easier to type, too.

The problem was your reason field. You worded it like this was an alias "These are the same thing," but you did still suggest it as an implication instead.
