Already exists as delta_rune

Uh... it is a game. The game is literally called DELTARUNE, as a halloween hack of Undertale that was linked on Toby Fox's Twitter. It's not the Delta Rune.

I'm aware.

Ok, then why did you say "already exists as delta_rune"? Are you aware that the Delta_Rune is a symbol, since you know that the game is called DELTARUNE. They are two separate things. One is a symbol, and the other is a game.

It should prooobably be deltarune_(game) since there is an object in the game referred to as a delta*rune. Or perhaps the symbol should be delta_rune_(symbol) or some such.

I was thinking that.

But, I still don't know if even an implication is the best idea. Some people feel like it's best to keep them separate for now, and it might need to be separate if it becomes a standalone game (think Earthbound to MOTHER 3). I think this needs to be tabled until more information is given.

Honestly, I haven't played undertale and am trying very hard to keep away from spoilers until I play it. So I don't know what Deltarune holds or might become.

Something like Undertale_universe or undertale_(setting) (with or without paranthesis) might be a good tag. *shrugs*

Fan characters are usually tagged as the origin franchise. There's some supposed exceptions, such as friendship_is_magic -- but even that is broken by the current implications: princess_molestia implies friendship_is_magic, even though the latter wiki clearly says not to tag her as such.

So... Tentative +1 for the implication.

I know better than to take anything that Toby writes at face value.

Even if it turns out to be separate, the characters are the same and it's an official part of the franchise. Even various fan creations are currently implicated to undertale, so I don't see anything incorrect about this particular implication.

I think Toby was just having trouble explaining it. Same franchise, yeah.

Agreed, Undertale should be implied by Deltarune.

I don't think an undertale_(series) tag should be made, it would be redundant, simply imply the original undertale copyright tag.

from what i know, toby fox clearly said that deltarune and undertale are seperate so idk if linking them would be such a good idea.
even if characters appear in both universes theyre not the same
lets say you search for deltarunes undyne for example
in undertale she has an eyepatch while in deltarune she doesnt
they also dont share the same job in these universes
