Hey, I just got one of these in PoPoLoCrois! Interesting to know the origins of it.
But yeah, since it was just to merge together the "Lion City" (Singapura) and "Sea Town") (Temasek, the original name of the town that it all started from), it's just a hybrid, not some mythological creature.
