I know that the wiki says that scalie is strictly for creatures that have scaly skin.

But that doesn't work. Because scalie is a fandom term for creatures such as dragons and reptiles, regardless of whether they actually have scales. Which is why furred_dragon and such consistently get tagged as scalie, contrary to the wiki.

Not to mention that we already have the *_scales tags for scaled creatures, which makes the usage of 'scalie = has scales' kind of redundant.

Definitely something that needs to be sorted out, one way or an another.

Avians are tagged as avian even when lack feathers, mammals are tagged as mammal even if they're robots, etc. So all dragons should probably be considered scalie, even if they lack scales.

Also Leviathans are wyverns so they could imply scalie too.

I've never played monster hunter. How are any of those things wyverns?

This does seem like a bit of a mess. :/ maybe *_scales should imply scalie? Maybe scalie's useless? (except there are goign to be non dragon/snake/reptile/dinosaur scalies out there...)

As I interpret our wiki it's a simple matter of counting limbs:
four legs + wings = dragon
two legs + front legs turned into wings = wyvern.
Of course this is a simplification since this is the internet and I'm positive somebody has drawn a three-legged lizard whith wings on all three legs.

Oh yeah, I agree with that. And this: post #1383927

Sorry for the confusion, my pictures are absolutly of wyverns, but.. what I'm seeing on the MH wiki and the linked pictures, they look like drakes and maybe a lindwurm or two, if i were to pick a type of dragon.. I'm not seeing anything wing-like??

Mayeb I"m blind?
