to be fair, both are probably a good idea.

Does this really need to be a separate tag? I think it would be fine to just alias it.

yeah, the character designs between game stay relatively constant. also the tag pool is so small (currently 54 posts) that I doubt having tags for seperate entries would serve any utility.
