I gotta paw related question.
The paw wiki says "The feet of an anthropomorphic character, or other appendages similar to the feet of a quadrupedal mammal"
So anthro hands are mostly tagged with some form of hand_on_hip, hand_on_thigh.
Anthro feet are typically tagged paws, unless they're humanoid_feet or hooves or something.
But... a feral has .. paws and hindpaws?
I see handpaw is a tag (with 343 posts) ... and generally refers to stubby fingered hands. (I was honestly expecting this to be for , like, ferals with thumbs. Long toe-d feet, if you will.)
So... the same tag refers to the feet of one body type and the hands of another?
Am I missing something key here? should I go back to bed?

It would be 'forepaw' if it wasn't aliased. Sure, it's on the ground, but anatomically it is the same structure. It gets a bit weird when 'paws' is used as both an umbrella term and as 'forepaw'.
Oh boy that handpaw tag is a mess. Paw-like hands vs human-like hands should be searchable but they need to actually be tagged correctly. :/

Ah... it was aliased away. sigh
This is one of the things that I really really really would love to fix, but there are 68,000 paw posts. 68 thousand.
But it's so.... messed up. :(

Another victim of the aforementioned thread. Note the difference between the suggested handpaw/pawhand aliases and the implimented ones. ... I mean, pawhands and handpaws are pretty unintuitive, but ...shouldn't have just been... aliased away like that. :( Paw-like_hands and Hand-like_paws or feral_hands or stubby_fingers or... anything woulda been better.
(How would I fix it? hmm.. maybe... paws_(feet) paws_(forefeet), paws_(hindfeet), with all implying paws? with selective pawlike_hands and handlike_paws... or maybe.... anthro_paws, feral_forepaws, feral_hindpaws? hmmm... but that is a dream that is about 65,000 posts too big.)
