Been tagged 27 times, but by over 20 different users. That does seem worth an alias, despite the low count.

Hate to necro, but can we get stare invalidated? It has no definition or consistent usage. It might as well be eyes_open or looking_at_anything.

Seconded. Can't use the tool to submit an alias for that, because of the existing one (staring -> stare) from year zero.

I'd argue it could have a use.

post #1399293 post #1384111 post #1350238 but those are .... cherry picked from a sea of "looking at things" ... maybe those ought to be like intense_stare or something that's mess likely to get tagged by casually looking characters.

Yeah, it might be useful if it weren't tagged mostly for generic 'looking'.

There's some existing *_stare and *_look tags, but most are kind of ambiguous. death_stare, blank_stare, evil_look, etc.

That third thumb might fit under blank_stare?

Honestly, 3rd one is probably just art style not anything else. my internet was acting up earlier and I was having to squint at thumbnails.

post #1370213 On the other hand, would be a good blank_stare

NUmber two would be a decent glare which is another rather unenergetic tag full of looking at things.

I dunno what number one is, though. Might be reading too much into her facial expression. She reminds me a lot of one of my character's who's very... unnerving.

Stare is difficult to justify or validate because staring involves a lack of eye motion and the passage of time. /stating the obvious

Another one that looks liking staring (the small Fluttershy).

Stare should still be invalidated and a new tag started/standardized because you don't want every stare mistag shunted off to whatever better tag it would be aliased to. Alternatively, there's also the stare_(disambiguation) route where you point out that it's a bad tag with "_(disambiguation)", explain why in the wiki, and list the "perhaps you meant:" alternatives.
